"Vintage Style with a Modern Twist"

As owner, I created the brand vision of Beane & Co at the company's inception.  The concept was luxury children's clothing that reflected a vintage throw back style. I then created the logo using circular patterns that represented everything "vintage" coming back around into style. Or never really going out of style. I also chose from the beginning to use blue tones throughout because from a marketing prospective it represents love, security, & loyalty. All things we wanted to portray with children's clothing. I then chose the tagline "Vintage Style with a Modern Twist" which also represents our brand vision.

Marketing Tools

Marketing Tools

As a part of the overall branding vision of Beane & Co. I made sure all distributed media and marketing materials had the Beane & Co. feel. All our rack cards, hang tags, post cards etc. had the brand stamp. We wanted everything to have the unmistakable vintage but modern look.

Because it was a children's clothing line we had 3 children that were the "face" of the brand. One of them being "The Beane" herself. Following her journey gave the brand the cohesive "family" feel we wanted. We used all the children as our "influencers" To draw our demographic.

Our demographic consisted of mid to high earning, educated mothers with an appreciation for quality.

Social Media

I coordinated all of Beane & Co.'s social media accounts. I wanted to vary what each channel was used for, so our followers would get a somewhat different experience on each channel.

Facebook was used to share our blog posts, upcoming events and sales we were running.

Instagram was used for behind the scenes pictures, and to promote the "family" aspect of the brand. So lots of candid shots of real life events from us & our followers.

Twitter was used very similarly to Facebook, but with just quick notes of "new arrivals" or sale "last one, get it now" posts.

Pinterest was used to further our brand vision with all aspect of our creativity. We had industry related boards but also DIY tutorials etc. Allowed our followers to get follow along content.

Website Design

I intended to accomplish a lot of subliminal things about the brand with the look and feel of Beane & Co's website. I used a mixture or both warm and cool colors. Conveying, security, trust & loyalty, with happy, playful & compassion. I chose to have a very crisp clean feel to the website. I felt that represented the timeless, vintage feel of the brand. I didn't want a lot of pop-ups or moving (animated) parts. It was clear and easy to navigate. The landing pages were clear and concise with all the information to answer any questions customers might have about sizing or how to order. Materials for the clothing and our production pipeline were all very transparent.

Call To Action

Depending on the campaign we were engaged in, I tried to frequently showcase a "call to action". Whether it was offering a discount on their next order, a discount for signing up for our email list, or just simply letting them know we had "new arrivals" ready to ship. As brand and marketing coordinator, I tried to make sure all channels were clear with Beane & Co's offerings.

Photography & Blog

As brand coordinator I wanted all the photography to reflect the timeless feel that the clothing of the brand had. I never wanted to use trendy settings or cliche poses. I always tried to capture the kids just being themselves. To keep consistency, I frequently used the same photographer or took the photos myself. We always wanted the kids to look natural in front of the camera. We tried very hard not to stage anything. As mentioned, this was a piece of the puzzle that provided our demographic the opportunity to see themselves and their children represented.
